Font rendering comparison

I noticed safari render the font smoother than Firefox when i did the browser compatibility check for upcoming theme.

I use Windows XP with latest Firefox 3 and Safari 3.1.1.

Here’s what it look in the browser.

Font family : Arial sans-serif 11px.

I prefer Arial in Firefox. It is more readable. Safari smooth engine makes the letter weight increase and decrease the letter spacing. Firefox win.

Font family : Georgia serif 18px.

Safari text rendering is smooth compare to firefox (too sharp and looks like crap.) Safari win

Conclusion

If Steve Job never learn about typography. Mac never get multiple type faces*. That what he said in his Commencement address at Stanford in 2005. That’s one of the best speech i ever heard.

*PS : at 4.38 “Windows just copy the mac” < Owned

Hello visitors and friend,

I back after one and half week without new post. The reason is I am still sick. I have been to specialist to check my sickness(continues flu). Even the doctor put a tiny camera through my nose to see what cause the problem. But he said there is nothing to be afraid. So, I just eat the medicine and get rest.

Lots of thing happened this month, this site has got more and more visitor after the released of Mini-wp theme. I didn’t expect that massive traffic come just from simple wordpress theme.

Another thing is i finished the new design of Css Panda. The previous theme was done in rush and it’s lack of many functions such as rating section, color tag and advertisement section.

I have been working this for about a month and half As you can see, the website has may improvement like i said before. The main changes is it come with two different layout which the user can change on the fly.

Css Gallery

Hi. Lately i have been playing with wordpress all time especially with custom field things. I learn how to make a better theme with it and try to make a css gallery. Ain’t too much gallery out there? That is what i am thinking. Because i am half way making css gallery based on wordpress. Should i make a css gallery web site or sell it to people with high price. And i not gonna release it. Haha.

Yea, good news, i will release a new theme. Hopefully this week. Theme name : Custo. It is based on Wite theme but with custom front page(it is custom wordpress theme)
